Run America Newsletter Volume: 1 Issue: 3 – September 22, 2018  – …and they’re off! Edition

RunAmericaLogo
Welcome to the third edition of the Run America Newsletter. This issue will replace and pick up where What’s on track for North Jersey left off in 2017 with a growing national focus. We entitled this issue the …and they’re off! for obvious reasons!
Before we get started lets take a moment to familiarize you with Run America? Simply put this is the last “place” (hopefully) you will need  to Refine, Register and Record your events. When we say “place” you can use the Run America website or mobile app to find exactly the type of events you’d like to run whenever and wherever you are. Take a look at the video below to get a head start on doing just that!
Why is Run America such a BIG! DEAL?  Besides helping runners we also provide, recurring event Sponsorship! As many of you know Sponsorship is not easy to come by. A Run America Sponsorship, contrary to what you might think, is super easy and if developed as prescribed could be accompanied by a BIG! CHECK. Back in June, we had the pleasure of issuing a fairly sizable BIG! CHECK to the Providence Marathon (picture below). Our hats off to Susan Rancourt (pictured), of Rhode Races and her team for putting on such a well run event! Be sure to catch up with Run America and Susan at the Jamestown event, this weekend, September 22nd which is featured a bit further down this newsletter.
As we can not feature every event in this newsletter we will provide our readers with a view into the events we have been asked to highlight or are sponsoring. Today, Run America allows you to filter almost 500,000 events annually by your absolute (coming soon) preferences. Don’t see what you are looking for here in the newsletter, then use Run America (website or mobile app) to get connected with the event that truly tickles YOUR fancy.
This newsletter, along with our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feed will continue to feature what, we, Run America are currently up to. Be sure to LIKE us! As new features, venues, partnerships, and events occur we will look to inform our readers electronically. So let’s stop discussing what we are doing and get to it.
Going… Going… Gone! Be sure to check out the results from this weekends Jamestown Marathon… then wait  1.. 2.. 3.. weeks and sign up for the 2019 event or peruse the Rhode Races or Run America website to find the marathon that fits you!
9/22 – The Jamestown Rhode Race was held today Saturday, September 22, 2018. Join Rhode Races in 2019 for the only half marathon on the beautiful island of Jamestown, RI.  The course circumvents nearly all of picturesque Conanicut Island, providing sweeping views of Narragansett Bay and the Newport Pell Bridge – the largest suspension bridge in New England.  The course features vivid landscapes, winding roads, historic Watson Farm as well as the village of Jamestown with its small shops and quaint restaurants.  The race starts in Fort Getty, winds past Mackeral Cove, heads straight across the island before the decline into Jamestown Village, then following the east side of the island.  It cuts through a beautiful neighborhood before coming up the west side of the island where you will enjoy views of windmills, estuaries and farms before finishing back at Fort Getty.  Come see 13.1 miles of Jamestown in late September 2019.
You might have missed this one but you still have time for a little color, puppies, a run on the tarmac and the NJ Devils! Read on to see where you should run to next!
9/30 – Wayne Color RunThe Wayne Valley Dance Team request your presence… as they present their 3rd Annual Wayne Color Run Extravaganza! Those that participated last year know, this is not going to be your “run of the mill” color run! The Dance Team will be taking over the entire Wayne Town Municipal Complex AND Wayne Valley High School to cover you with color! Local sponsors will be taking over the themed Color stations so you don’t want to miss this one… they will be taking about this one for a long time to come!
Interested in a Color Run that’s got your groove! The Wayne Valley Dance Team has just the event to get you moving!
Wanna Sneak Peak?!?! There will be a “Tunnel of Color” to kick things off followed by three (3) additional stations where you’ll be colorized! The best part is this run makes two (2) FULL LOOPS of the course so there’s twice the color and twice the fun as compared to your tradition Color Run. The Dance Team will be continuing its efforts to support the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in the process. Please mark your calendar, then make your way to Wayne Town Hall (intersection of Valley Road and Preakness Ave) the 30th of September for one of the best Color Runs around!
